Accueil Vélo (Welcome to Cycling) – From April 2026!
Ardèche by Bike, unique routes for all the pleasures of cycling in Ardèche!
The Ardèche by Bike also means taking on a sporting challenge on one of the famous routes of L’Ardéchoise cycling race. Located in Labastide-sur-Besorgues, the Moulin de Charrier is ideally situated on the route of this famous cycling race created in 1992, which brings together over 14,000 cyclists and numerous volunteers each year. For the more adventurous, you can head out for a day on our small country roads with the departmental VAE loop of the Chestnut Valleys and Volcanoes……
Everyone can, for a weekend, a day, or a short break, enjoy a bike ride while enjoying the surroundings. So many unforgettable moments, to be experienced far from the hustle and bustle of the city.
We offer you a personalized bike welcome:
- An invigorating swim in the Besorgues to soothe your legs
- A meal tailored to your athletic needs, prepared with organic and/or local products
- A comfortable bed to recover in (5 bedrooms, 1 hut, 1 caravan: 22 beds max) or the option of camping in a tent
- A hearty homemade breakfast, served early if needed
- A kitchen with free access
- An Ardèche picnic basket
- A relaxation area to prepare your excursions
- Information and advice upon request
- A washing machine and dryer
- A secure room and a washing station
- A repair kit
- Electrical outlets for recharging e-bike batteries
Hébergement Pêche (Accommodation for Anglers)
The Ardèche remains one of the essential departments for fishing. Come and find your fishing pleasure by going up the Besorgues, a category 1 mountain river (see the river map) where the use of a maximum of two single, barbless hooks and a landing net is mandatory. From the second Saturday in March to the third Sunday in September inclusive, the Besorgues offers “no-kill” fishing trips (caught fish must be immediately returned to the water) to help you discover magnificent and surprising landscapes!

Video discovery of the Monts d’Ardèche Regional Natural Park (3 mn):

We are members of the FDMF (Federation of Mills of France) and work together to rehabilitate the mill. We suggest you to do, during your stay, a guided tour of the mill to be agreed upon your arrival.
We also invite you to visit us during the Journées Européennes des Moulins (European Mill Days), which take place every year on the 3rd weekend of May.
→ Here’s a preview of the event on May 18, 2025, at the Moulin de Charrier: watch the video.
On one of these days, the Moulin de Charrier opens its doors in partnership with the Fédération des Moulins de France (FDMF).
